Cultural Events
Dashain, Tihar, Holi, Nepali New Year and community picnics that bring generations together.
Since 2008 · Community Society
A volunteer-led society supporting the Nepali community across the UK through cultural festivals, welfare advice, youth mentoring, and elder care.
Who we are
Hamro Samaj UK started in 2008 as a handful of families gathering for Dashain. Today we are a registered community society run by an elected committee of volunteers.
We organise cultural celebrations, run welfare visits to isolated elders, mentor young people into education and work, and help newcomers settle in the UK. Everything we do is free for members.
Meet the committee →What we do
From the dance floor at Dashain to a quiet visit to an elder, our work touches every stage of community life.
Dashain, Tihar, Holi, Nepali New Year and community picnics that bring generations together.
Confidential help with housing, immigration, NHS access, and benefits in English or Nepali.
Homework clubs, mentoring, sports teams and leadership opportunities for ages 11–25.
Weekly visits, hospital transport, translation help and warm meals for isolated elders.
"When I moved to the UK I knew no one. Hamro Samaj picked me up at the airport, helped me find a school for my daughter, and now my whole family volunteers here."
